Reggie Harris is a deeply rooted singer/songwriter, storyteller, educator and cultural ambassador, known worldwide for his ability to inspire hope and empower through song.

A powerful performer and lecturer, Reggie is one of the foremost interpreters of the history of song in the Underground Railroad and of the role of music in the modern Civil Rights Movement and beyond.

A founding teaching artist in the Kennedy Center’s CETA program (Changing Education Through the Arts) for over 30 years, Reggie is also a Fellow in the prestigious Woodrow Wilson Scholars college lecture program. He serves as the Director of Music Education and Co-Chair for the Living Legacy Project, an advocacy group that leads civil rights pilgrimages and conferences throughout the South. http://www.uulivinglegacy.org

Always in demand, Reggie averages over 300 concerts and lectures per year at music and story festivals, arts centers, universities, schools and places of worship throughout the U.S, Canada, and Europe. With many recordings to his credit, his latest solo recording “Ready To Go” was a #5 CD on the Folk DJ Charts and the title cut was the  #1 songs for May 2018. And the Children’s Music Network presented him Kim with Magic Penny Award for lifetime achievement for his impact in music in the duo Kim and Reggie Harris.
