You are invited to join us for the the film: “The Nuns, The Priests, & The Bombs” in observance of the anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima & Nagasaki, which happened on August 6 & 9, 1945, respectively.
By gathering, we remember those who suffered or died under those bombs, the horror brought to the world 76 years ago, and all those who have struggled to remove the threat of nuclear weapons from our world.
We affirm that that struggle continues.
“The Nuns, The Priests, & The Bombs” – a documentary about activists who challenged U.S. nuclear weapons by entering top-secret facilities: the “Fort Knox of Uranium” & a U.S. Navy Trident nuclear submarine base.
Discussion will follow the film.
